Rehearsal Information

    • Rehearsals start Saturday, September 12, 2026
    • The majority of rehearsals take place Saturday afternoons. The studio is reserved for rehearsals from 12-7pm – you/your child will not be there for the entire time, but just for the role/roles you will perform (from 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours per role).
    • Some roles may have additional, optional rehearsals on Sundays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.
    • There is a mixed level Company class every Saturday 10:30-12 at Strictly Ballet for cast members and the general public – regular class fee applies.
    • Participants need to be available for mandatory rehearsals during tech week, 12/5-12/10 including Dress Rehearsal on 12/11.
    • You need to be there if you are in the act being rehearsed.
    • The rehearsal schedule will be announced along with the cast list. Rehearsal dates and times may be subject to change.
AUDITION NOTE
We are responsible for putting on a great show, but also for protecting our performers – dance is a physical activity. The biggest danger to both the performance and the performers is the people who chronically miss rehearsal.

We understand that absences happen due to illness and factors beyond your control, but no matter the reason, missed rehearsals are a stressor for the entire production. We hope that performers prioritize rehearsals and consider their cast mates, production staff, and the ultimate production quality when choosing to miss a rehearsal not related to Illness, but we want to say clearly: performers who are not able to comply with participation rules may have their roles changed or may be dismissed. There is NO REFUND of the rehearsal fee if you are dismissed or are unhappy with your role. Performers are also responsible for learning any missed choreography before the next rehearsal (so make friends with your fellow cast mates!).

Fees
  • Participation requires a one time rehearsal fee of $50 per performer, due on the first day of rehearsal, September 12th
  • The costume fee is $25 per performer, due October 3rd
  • Private additional rehearsal fee is $30 per 1/2 hour
  • Participants are required to provide approved stage make-up, leotard, tights and shoes for the performance at their own cost.
Participation Also Requires
All performers are expected to be on time and be prepared for their scene

  • Dancers are expected to maintain regular attendance in their ballet classes or other current training in order to protect themselves from injury and to remain performance ready.
