2026 Summer Session

inspired by the story ballet

“Swan Lake”

Summer camps and intensives allow a dancer the time to improve muscle memory and coordination and to build strength and stamina. Dancers are encouraged to attend the entire camp or intensive in order to gain the most benefit, but I also welcome daily/drop-in dancers.*

In June we’ll focus on “Swan Lake,” one of the classic “story” ballets. Our deep dive will help dancers develop an understanding of how to combine their technique with musicality and acting/pantomime skills so that they can develop their artistry.

In July dancers will test their ability to learn choreography quickly and be performance ready in just a few weeks to perform at a “VFGP.” And they get to create their own costumes to wear!

In August we have fun exploring choreography from “A Lewisburg Victorian Nutcracker”. This popular intensive allows dancers to perfect roles they’ve danced before or to try advanced roles just for fun!

* (Except pointe students & VFGP performers…)
